Del 30 de octubre al 2 de noviembre de 2007, se celebró el 2do. Festival de Tradiciones de Vida y Muerte, en el parque de Xcaret, donde hubo espectáculos de danza, música, teatro, exposiciones de artes visuales y audiovisuales, así como ofrendas y rituales.
La inauguración corrió a cargo de la Dirección General del parque: Arq. Miguel Quintana, y el Presidente Municipal de Solidaridad: Lic. Carlos joaquín.
From October 30 to November 2, 2007, there was celebrated the 2do. Festival de Tradiciones de Vida y Muerte, in Xcaret park, where there were spectacles of dance, music, theatre, exhibitions of visual and audio-visual arts, as well as altars and rituals.
The inauguration was in charge of the General Manager of the park: Arq. Miguel Quintana, and the Municipal President of Solidaridad: Lic. Carlos joaquín.
Las ofrendas fueron realizadas por gente de la región, donde también participaron algunas instituciones como el Museo de Arte Popular de México.
The altars were realized by people of the region, where also participated some institutions as the Museum of Popular Art of Mexico.
En la noche del 30 de octubre, dentro del ámbito del Festival, se presentó con gran éxito, la puesta en escena "Macario, el ahijado de la muerte" , en la que participan: el primer actor, Don Ignacio López Tarso, Juan Ignacio Aranda, quien da voz a 6 personajes, Gabriela Pérez Negrete , que por su parte interpreta a 4 personajes y Guillermo González Phillips, guitarrista, quien con una gran interpretación, colmada de virtuosismo, presenta música de su propia creación, así como el ya conocido corrido de “Macario” y composiciones de Diego Pisador y Manuel M. Ponce.
“Macario, el ahijado de la muerte” cuenta la historia de un pobre leñador que en el momento en que está cumpliendo el más grande deseo de su vida, comerse él solo un guajolote completo, recibe la inesperada visita de tres personajes poderosos, muy conocidos por toda la raza humana: el Diablo, Dios y la Muerte.
Dirigida por Eduardo Ruiz Saviñon, esta presentación trata de una lectura dramatizada, con duración de aproximadamente 60 minutos; donde se recrea, a través de las voces de los actores y la musicalización del maestro González Phillips, la atmósfera perfecta de una historia basada en el cuento de Bruno Traven, y que, en los años 50´s se presentó como obra cinematográfica.
El público asistente en el foro abierto del parque de Xcaret, aplaudió efusivamente al cuarteto en escena, y el primer actor, a nombre de todos los involucrados en esta puesta en escena, Don IIgnacio López Tarso, agradeció el cariño y aplauso de la gente, así como la oportunidad de haber sido parte de este Festival.
In the night of October 30, during the begining of the Festival, was presented with a great success "Macario, el ahijado de la muerte", in which they take part: the first actor, Don Ignacio López Tarso, Juan Ignacio Aranda, who gives voice to 6 different characters, Gabriela Pérez Negrete, who made the interpretation of 4 different characters and Guillermo Gonzalez Phillips, guitarist, who with a great interpretation presents music of his own creation, and the theme of "Macario" and compositions of Diego Pisador and Manuel M. Ponce.
"Macario, el ahijado de la muerte" is a story about a poor woodcutter who in the moment in which he is having his great dream of eating alone a turkey, receives the unexpected visit of three powerful and prominent figures, very known by the whole human race: the Devil, God and the Death.
Directed by Eduardo Ruiz Saviñon, this presentation treats of a dramatized reading, with duration of approximately 60 minutes; where, across the voices of the actors and the musicalización of González Phillips, is created the perfect atmosphere of a story based on Bruno Traven's story, and that, in 50's appeared as a film.
The public assistant in the open forum of Xcaret park, crawded to the actors and the musician, and the first actor, Don IIgnacio Lopez Tarso, representing all teh people involved in tnis show, was grateful for the receivement of the audience, as well as the opportunity to have been a part of this Festival.
Dentro del elenco musical, se presentaron los cantores de Xcaret en diferentes espectáculos, los cuales, con el talento que los caracteriza, interpretaron piezas mexicanas, así como el Himno compuesto especialmente para este Festival que corrió a cargo de María Carmona, en la interpretación vocal, acompañada de los músicos de Xcaret.
In the musical shows, the singers of Xcaret appeared in different spectacles, which, with the talent that characterizes them, interpreting Mexican pieces, as well as the Anthem composed specially for this Festival with Maria Carmona, in the vocal interpretation accompanied of the musicians of Xcaret.
La compañía de Danza de Xcaret dió color y vida a través de la muerte al auditorio del foro abierto de Xcaret, mostrando sus pasos de baile, ejecutados por alegres personajes: parejas de calaveras, diablitos y vivos que bailaban todos juntos dentro de un mismo escenario.
Por su parte, la Compañía de teatro, La Trouppe, presentó: "Trupeteando con muertos y calacas", obra original, creada expresamente para este Festival.
El público asistente disfrutó de una puesta en escena "muy viva" y divertida, siendo bien recibida y aplaudida, donde los que más disfrutaron fueron los niños.
The company of Xcaret's Dancers gave color and life across the death to the audience of the open forum of Xcaret, showing their steps of dance, executed by happy characters such as: couples of skulls, devils and alive people, dancing all together on the stage.
In other show , the Theatre Company, "La Trouppe", presented: " Trupeteando with dead men and skulls ", original work, created expressly for this Festival. The public enjoyed this show, being received well , specially the children.
Dentro de este Festival se presentó el libro "Puente al Paraíso, panteón vivo en Xcaret" con la presencia de sus autores Myriam Cerda, Nuria Gómez, Nuria Sadurni, y Luis Arias, también se contó con la presencia del arquitecto Miguel Quintana Pali, Director General de Xcaret.
A través de sus páginas, este libro nos narra experiencias vividas a través del creativo, colorido y dedicado trabajo de planeación, diseño y construcción del panteón de Xcaret, donde los autores de esta obra, se dieron a la tarea de acompañar desde un principio hasta la culminación de este proyecto a la gente involucrada y plasmar en el cuerpo del libro, fotografías y palabras para describir la magia que encierra esta peculiar construcción bajo la sombra de cuatro largas y hermosas ceibas dentro del parque.
In this Festival was the presentation of the book "Puente al Paraíso, panteón vivo en Xcaret" with the presence of their authors Myriam Cerda, Nuria Gómez, Nuria Sadurni, and Luis Arias, also the presence of the architect Miguel Quintana Pali, Xcaret´s Director.
Across his pages, this book narrates the lived experiences across the creative, colouring and dedicated work of planeation, design and construction of Xcaret's pantheon, where the authors of this work, gave each other to the task being in the project from the beginning to the culmination of this project with all the involved in this, and with the photographies and words they describe the magic that encloses this peculiar construction under the shade of four long and beautiful ceibas inside the park.
