From the calm water to the wild land, cross country running was the second discipline in which the brave competitors were punished by the strong heat and the rough terrain where the route was traced.

Una vez concluida la carrera a campo traviesa, se realizó la prueba de ciclismo, reportándose una caída por parte de una de las competidoras, afortunadamente sin consecuencias graves.

Once concluded the cross country running, the cycling test was carried out; one of the female competitors fell down, fortunately without serious consequences.

En afán de promover la convivencia entre agencias de viajes de la Riviera Maya, y con espíritu deportista, el pasado 11 de septiembre de 2008 se celebró la primer mini olimpiada que organizó Coba Mayan Village, que, con buena coordinación y esfuerzo por parte del staff de esta empresa, se hizo posible llevar hasta la selva la emoción de competir en diversas disciplinas.

In desire of promoting the convivence between travel agencies of Riviera Maya and with a sport spirit, last September 11th, 2008 it was carried out the first mini olympic games sponsored by Coba Mayan Village. Because of the good organization and effort from the staff of this company, it was possible to take into the jungle the emotion of competing in different disciplines.

Varias fueron las agencias turísticas que asistieron al encuentro, generándose un clima de competencia y camaradería.

Several were the tourist agencies that attended the encounter, generating a competition climate and companionship.

Del ciclismo al tiro al blanco, en gala de su excelente puntería, fueron alrededor de 10 los tiradores, con tres oportunidades cada uno, que lograron un record de solo 2 latas tiradas, una fuera de concurso de tiro, aunque se hizo reconocimiento al derribe por haberse realizado entre 3 y 4 metros atrás del la línea de tiro en sesión de práctica. A pesar de que las resorteras eran profesionales, los Rep´s no lograron familiarizarse con este sofisticado elemento, sin embargo la diversión estuvo garantizada, y no fue motivo para el abandono de esta contienda por parte de los Rep`s.

From cycling to slingshotting, and showing their excellent aim, there were around 10 shooters. Three shots for each participant, but only 2 cans shot down was the record achieved. However, there was a prize to the shooter who shot down a can 3 meters further. Although the slingshots were professional, the Reps were not familiar with this sophisticated element. There was no reason to leave this war between Rep`s, the amusement was garanteed.

Después de una calida recepción para los Rep´s, fue con la natación como se dio inicio formalmente a las actividades. Luciendo esculturales cuerpos, los atletas dieron su mejor esfuerzo en la competencia, y que mejor escenario que las cristalinas aguas del cenote.

After a warm welcome for the Rep´s, swimming was the first activity to start formally the games. Shining sculptural bodies, the athletes did their best effort in the competition having as a beautiful set the crystalline water of the cenote.

Durante el medio tiempo llegó el banquete, ofrecido a los Rep´s, mismo que disfrutaron en forma eufórica tras el derroche de energía en las pruebas realizadas, era momento de reponer fuerzas degustando una deliciosa comida, pues solo restaba una prueba por hacer, de la cual no se conocía detalle.

Half time for everybody, it was the moment of restoring energy with a delicious meal because after that there was only one activity left of which any detail was not known.

Llegado el momento, se entrego a los participantes su kit de trabajo con el cual tendrían que poner a trabajar su creatividad, la prueba entraba en la categoría de habilidad manual, donde debían construir una choza que evocara al logo de Coba Mayan Village, y así fue que, en un derroche de creatividad e ingenio por parte de los Rep´s lograron construir a escala sus chozas. Culminando así la serie de pruebas y el evento.

For the last activity, a kit of different materials was given to every team. The purpose was to use the creativity to build a palapa in scale representing the logo of Coba Mayan Village. It was the way of culminating the first mini olympic games 2008 in Riviera Maya.
